In short: we do not have consulting rooms in Malvern East. Patients from Malvern East, Carnegie, Murrumbeena, Caulfield, Chadstone and Glen Iris are seen at our Windsor clinic, Level 1, 6–10 Chapel Street, Windsor VIC 3181 — roughly ten minutes along Dandenong Road, with lift access and online booking. Getting to us from Malvern East
The clinic our Malvern East patients use is in Windsor, at Level 1, 6–10 Chapel Street. From most of Malvern East it is a straight run west along Dandenong Road and then down Chapel Street — usually ten to fifteen minutes outside peak, longer when Chadstone traffic backs up along that stretch in the run-up to Christmas.
If you would rather not drive, the 5, 64 and 78 trams all put you within a short walk of the Chapel Street end, and Windsor station on the Sandringham line is a few minutes away on foot. Street parking around Chapel Street is metered and busy; the quieter residential streets one or two blocks back are usually easier, and worth the extra two minutes’ walk.
Windsor opens Monday to Thursday 8.30am–6pm and Friday 8.30am–1pm, with a fortnightly Saturday morning 8.30am–1pm. It is also the clinic where our GenesisPlus laser work is done, so if you are coming for nails or warts this is where those appointments run anyway.
What we treat
This is general podiatry, which means most feet are treated on the day rather than sent away for a second appointment. The bread and butter is heel and arch pain, corns and callus, ingrown toenails, thickened or painful nails, diabetic foot assessments, and knee or hip pain that traces back to how the foot is loading.
We also do a good deal of biomechanical work: gait assessment, exercise prescription and, where they genuinely help, custom or prefabricated orthotics. Footwear advice here tends to be specific rather than vague, right down to which shoe suits a particular foot shape and sport. If you are weighing up whether devices are worth it, our guide on whether you actually need orthotics is an honest place to start.
Laser treatment for fungal nails and warts uses our FDA-cleared GenesisPlus Nd:YAG 1064nm laser, and runs from Windsor. It is needle-free: fungal nail treatment feels like little more than warmth, while wart treatment stings briefly with each pulse. Fungal nail treatment runs at roughly an 85% success rate after two to three sessions, and most wart patients see results within two to four.
What happens at your first visit
A first appointment starts with the story: what hurts, when it started, what makes it worse, what you have already tried, and what you actually need your feet to do. Bring the shoes you spend the most time in, including work shoes and sports shoes, because the wear pattern on a well-used sole often tells us more than the feet do standing still.
From there we look at the skin and nails, test the joints, and watch you walk. If the problem is mechanical we explain what is loading incorrectly and why, then start treatment on the spot: offloading, taping, a footwear change, an exercise or two, or debridement of painful skin and nails. You leave with a plan and a realistic idea of how long it should take.
Bring your Medicare card, your health fund card and any referral or care plan paperwork. We claim through HICAPS on the spot at every clinic, so with all major Australian health funds you only pay the gap. If your GP has written an Enhanced Primary Care plan for a chronic condition such as diabetes, arthritis or vascular disease, Medicare rebates may apply. DVA Gold Card holders and WorkCover patients need a referral; nobody else does. We take Visa, Mastercard and EFTPOS.
Who we look after around here
The Malvern East and Carnegie catchment sends us a particular mix. A lot of it is people who are on their feet all day through Chadstone and the retail strips, where hard floors and long shifts turn a small mechanical problem into a daily one. A lot of it is older patients from the quieter streets around Murrumbeena and Glen Iris who want nails and skin kept comfortable and safe, particularly where diabetes or circulation is in the picture.
And a lot of it is families — growing feet, school shoes that were fine in February and are not in July, and the sports load that comes with the local junior clubs. Children’s podiatry is a genuine part of what we do, not an afterthought.
Common questions
Do you have a clinic in Malvern East?
No. We used to consult from rooms on Dandenong Road, but we no longer do. Patients from Malvern East are seen at our Windsor clinic on Chapel Street, about ten minutes away, or at whichever of our four clinics is the easier trip for you.
How do I book?
Windsor takes online bookings with a live calendar, so you can see real availability and book instantly through our booking page. Or call (03) 9111 0085 and we will find you a time.
Do I need a referral?
Not for a standard appointment. Only Department of Veterans’ Affairs Gold Card holders and WorkCover patients need one. If you are claiming a Medicare rebate under a chronic disease management plan, your GP arranges that.
Can I claim on my health fund?
Yes. We have HICAPS on the spot with all major Australian funds, so you claim at reception and pay only the gap. See our fees and rebates page for the detail.
